Been a While

Hey Guys, sorry for the lapse in posting. The project that I'm working on with Kurt is on hold for the moment, but I'm probably going to pick it back up again later this week, so do not despair! At the moment I am working on a series of three paintings. They will all be painted with gouache on wood panel. I'm kind of limited in what I can do with it at the moment because I literally just ran out of white gouache. However, I'm hoping to get to the art store tomorrow if not yet tonight so we should be back in business. These paintings are each based on the personal tastes of three people I know. The one below which is in progress is based on Kurt because he likes cherry flavoured things. I also tried to keep her kind of classy but with a little bit of fun too, because that is also a bit like him.

So here is the progress so far and some close ups. I also have the second one planned which will be based on my friend Laura and her love for cupcakes. That one will be very cute and lolita-esque. As for other projects, I'm still plotting out that webcomic. I have a really cute idea for the first one. I also am continually working on stuff to put on my Etsy shop and am practicing painting in photoshop. I have a load of projects that I want to work on and just not enough time to get everything done. I think what's going to have to happen is that I'm going to have to get a schedule put together or something. I'll figure it out. Also please, if you read, leave a comment! I love to get feedback and find out what people think of the projects I'm working on! Here's a little series of videos to leave you with! They're pretty funny, so I hope you all enjoy!

My Bad

Had a bad day. No time for drawing. More art tomorrow. Thanks for being patient. I've got all burners running at the moment but I swear that as soon as things die down there's a ton of projects that I'm really excited about getting into and posting. Thank you all for being so patient!

A Horse is a Horse of Course Of Course

And here is a horse right here. This is a drawing for Nina of her and her lovely horse. Unfortunately the line art scanned like crap so I'm probably going to replace and repost it but here is an early one. Might fidget with this a little too. Not 100% pleased yet. Got a ton of stuff to load onto it so please go forth and shop to your heart's content. I have a bunch of new t-shirt and bag ideas so those will be popping up soon! Yay! Enjoy. also, Got to this> http://questionablecontent.net/ and read it. It's a comic called Questionable Content and if you haven't read it get on that. It's one of the best and most frequently updated webcomics going on right now and what's really cool is that if you start at the beginning (which I highly recommend since it's been going for something like five years now) is that you can see the artist's style evolve and improve. It's really REALLY cool. And the story is really fun with really great characters. So enjoy that! I think I might try to work on a webcomic for you for tomorrow so keep a look out. ANNNNND I Told a Lie

Cause I had a hectic day and did not get around to a ton of art today. I already have a pic for tomorrow though, it's of Nina and her horse, and then an amusing pic of some bananas in some pajamas. I also have a confusing scanner situation right now but whatever. I'll deal with it. Here's a cute little pic for you though.

This ^ is Bernice. She is very special to me and very beautiful. She has endless grace and charm. You'll be seeing a lot more of her. :D

Anyway, like I said, crap day. But do not fear, for there will be more tomorrow. Oh, and before I forget, Kurt Floyd, who is an excellent artist should be starting his own blog soon and when it's up you should visit it and commission him. He draws the best pictures, plus, now I've said something about it he actually has to follow through with it and start the blog up. But, no, seriously, he's really good. Gonna try to launch  my Etsy shop (finally) and fingers crossed, do a comic for you this week. I have a kind of funny idea for a comic and if there's enough interest I might try to do it regularly. Pug Mug

Today's drawing is of a pug. I'm tempted to post the lineart up tomorrow because it's also kind of cute. Or maybe I just like pugs. Take your pick. I own a pug and my mom says she looks like she has no head, just a neck with a face on it. I'd have to say that's fairly accurate. Tonight is a Doctor Who night which is pretty exciting. Maybe some Doctor Who art tomorrow. I'm going to try to draw like a fiend tonight so you might get more than one drawing tomorrow. ALSO- If you have not read The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins, then start. Particularly if you play Dungeons and Dragons, like sci fi, or like apocalyptic stories. I swear, the book is practically pleading to be turned into a DnD campaign. And they're making a movie soon so, you know. Read up.

The first is the blog of Tealin Raintree who is about half responsible for my interest in animation and getting me into the field. She is very talented and very witty with a very...british sense of humor. I really enjoy her blog because it's always turning me on to something new and she...GASP...works for Disney and has been very kind in the past with giving me information about animation. The second is the website of Kate Beaton who does some of the most hilarious comics that I have seen on the web. Most of them are historical and all of them are ridiculously funny. I enjoy, in particular, the sexy Batman comics. ENJOY!

New Sketchblog
